Pearls for his someday bride
One last rainy day meal with our friends...Pizza Hut!
About 4:30 we were packed up, loaded up, and heading for the Guangzhou East train station. It was definitely a day of mixed emotions. We couldn't wait to get home, but we were so sad to say good-bye to all of our China friends. Thank you all for a fantastic week!
As we said good-bye to our guide, it quickly became apparent that we were not traveling as lightly as we thought we were! I am sure people were laughing at us pushing a stroller and dragging our bags through the train station! But we finally made it to our train and found our seat. Mycah's world was getting bigger by the minute and he was taking it all in!
And eating, of course!
A couple hours later we were in Hong Kong, where we caught a cab and headed to our hotel. THe cabs are tiny and could not fit all of our luggage in the trunk, so Mycah and I along with one suitcase rode in the backseat, while Sonia was lucky enough to ride shotgun! Oh, how I wish I had a picture of her face a time or two! Our cab driver must have been late for dinner or something...It was quite a speedy ride.
The night was short and morning came early...before we knew it, it was Wednesday and we were finally on our way home!
But not before he ate...again! The kid eats almost anything. I still couldn't make myself feed him barley milk with deep fried devils. Nope...don't even know what it is, but it doesn't sound like anything I should feed my children. Thankfully, there was plenty more food to choose from!
